About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an experienced electrical/electronic technician to work in a facility performing electro-mechanical assembly of micro-electronic products and support equipment. The role involves understanding and working from engineering drawings and sketches, following written and verbal work instructions, and performing a variety of developmental assembly operations on electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems. The technician will also assist engineers in the development of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components.

Requirements

  • Proficient use of electronic test equipment, electrical assembly tools and hand tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and sketches.
  • Precision and fine motor skills required for micro/nano scale fabrication, assembly, test with near zero defects.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
  • Must demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • 2-year technical degree or a minimum of 3 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to communicate feedback to the team to support design, fabrication and test improvements.
  • Cirris and/or Automated Test Equipment operator experience.
  • Troubleshooting of electronic and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Trained and proficient in manufacturing and quality requirements of IPC/WHMA-A-620 Class 3 and J-STD-001 or have knowledge of these requirements.
  • Understanding of 3D CAD software.
  • Basic understanding of GD&T.
  • 2-year technical degree and 3 years as a technician performing related tasks, either in a production or prototype environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electro-mechanical assembly of micro-electronic products and support equipment.
  • Understand and work from engineering drawings and sketches.
  • Follow written and verbal work instructions.
  • Perform developmental assembly operations of electronic and/or mechanical assemblies and subassemblies on ordnance systems.
  • Assist engineers in the development of mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical engineering designs, tests, fabrications, modifications, assemblies, and components.
  • Conduct tests using electronics test equipment, including scopes, meters, etc.
  • Generate test report data.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with safety objectives and policies.
