About The Position

This position will provide support in various areas related to structural repairs and maintenance for aircraft. The role involves assisting with the assessment, organization, and tracking of structural repairs, as well as collaborating with engineering and technical support teams. The technician will also be involved in developing tracking systems, providing hands-on assistance with repairs, and liaising with external repair companies. A key aspect of the role is to review and implement technical documents related to structures and actively participate in the company's Safety Management System.

Requirements

A college diploma in aircraft maintenance from a Transport Canada approved educational facility with accreditation
Must have a thorough knowledge of the SRM
High degree of accuracy
Strong analytical personality
Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office
Strong communication skills
Ability to travel on short notice

Responsibilities

Assist with assessing and organizing structural repairs
Track and work with Planning in organizing structural repairs with repeat thresholds
Work closely with Bombardier In Service Engineering and the Technical Help Desk in requesting Repair Drawings
Provide recommendations to Bombardier ISE and THD should a Repair Drawings require an amendment
Develop and maintain a damage tracking system that may be used as a quick reference guide
Hands on assistance with structural repairs
Liaise with third party structural repair companies should extra man-power be required
Review all Bombardier Service Bulletins and other technical documents related to structures and implement as required
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy
Other duties as assigned
