About The Position

The Technician, Quality Control supports fragrance manufacturing operations by performing routine quality control analyses, documenting and reporting results, and assisting with the processing of quality-related deviations. In this role, you will ensure that raw materials, intermediates, and finished fragrance products meet established specifications and comply with internal quality standards and applicable regulatory requirements. In addition, you will contribute to the production of safe, consistent, and high-quality fragrance products that meet customer and brand expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific field preferred.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a quality control laboratory, preferably within fragrance, flavor, cosmetics, or specialty chemicals manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with fragrance QC testing practices, including physical, chemical, and basic sensory evaluations.
  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in documentation and data handling.
  • Ability to work independently while adhering to written procedures and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills for reporting results and escalating quality issues.
  • Foundational knowledge of GCMS systems with experience in reviewing raw materials and finished fragrance products

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine quality control testing of fragrance raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
  • Prepare samples, reagents, and reference materials required for laboratory testing.
  • Accurately document analytical and observational results in laboratory records and quality systems, ensuring data integrity.
  • Review test results for accuracy, completeness, and consistency prior to reporting.
  • Conduct first-level out-of-specification (OOS) testing following established procedures.
  • Identify deviations, trends, or recurring quality issues and escalate them to the appropriate quality or operations personnel.
  • Support investigations related to quality deviations, non-conformances, or customer-related quality concerns.
  • Maintain assigned laboratory equipment, including routine calibration checks, cleaning, and basic maintenance.
  • Follow applicable GMP, safety, and quality standards relevant to fragrance manufacturing and laboratory operations.
