About The Position

Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a temporary Technician, QC for a six month term. This position will support the Quality team with day-to-day quality control activities and validation studies. This role provides hands-on experience in quality systems, inspection processes, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives while working closely with cross‑functional teams.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a post-secondary program (Quality, Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or related field).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of quality principles (e.g., inspection, root cause, continuous improvement) is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support inspection and testing activities in accordance with established quality procedures
  • Collect, organize, and analyze quality data to support reporting and improvement efforts
  • Help track calibration and document control processes
  • Help review quality records and documentation (inspection reports, SOPs, work instructions)
  • Assist with inspection and testing of materials, components, or finished products according to established procedures.
  • Facilitate quality validation studies.
  • Prepare QC samples and arrange shipment of samples to external and internal laboratories.
  • Organize and maintain laboratory materials, supplies, and work areas.
  • Act as the liaison between QC staff and office leadership.
  • Perform other task and other quality-related duties as assigned.
