About The Position
This role supports critical work that helps bring medicines and solutions to patients responsibly and efficiently. The Technician QC Laboratory performs and verifies microbiological assays on samples of raw material, final product, water, environmental monitoring, identification of microorganisms, growth promotion, electrophoresis, phage detection, and others, complying with established standards. The role requires executing duties in accordance with established performance behaviors as a guide for interaction with others.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or Associate's degree in Microbiology, Natural Sciences, Chemistry, or Biology.
- Two or more years of experience in a laboratory or related area.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience in handling equipment such as pH meters, balances, and others.
- Knowledge of microbiology techniques such as filtration, preparation of culture media, and others.
- Ability to establish productive working relationships.
- Teamwork skills.
- Time management skills for self and others.
- Organization, planning, and work prioritization skills.
- Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and carry out work.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization or visas for this role.
Responsibilities
- Perform and verify microbiological assays on samples of raw material, final product, water, and environmental monitoring.
- Conduct identification of microorganisms, growth promotion, electrophoresis, and phage detection.
- Comply with established standards in all laboratory procedures.
