As a Medicine Technician, you will be responsible to use the appropriate equipment to blend oil and/or powder raw materials together. The Medicine Technician I operates all mixing equipment and compounds simple oil and light paste mixes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED Certificate.
  • Minimum 6-months experience in an FDA regulated industry
  • Any combination of experience, education, and training that provides the level of knowledge, skills, and experience needed to successfully perform the job.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares materials for compounding into fill material.
  • Sets-up, operates and cleans reclaim machine and vacuum mixer for processing operations.
  • Assists and leads in weighing and compounding of simple fill materials like oils and light pastes.
  • Performs or verifies batch record entries.
  • Clearly and promptly reports questions, process and equipment problems to Supervisor.
  • Ensures batch records, equipment log books, and other relevant records are up-to-date.
  • Cleans and maintains processing rooms and equipment.
  • Monitors processes and equipment and makes necessary adjustments to maintain batch record specifications.
  • Maintains inventory control by use of Component Control Cards and Material Requisition Forms.
  • Follows established department SOP's, cGMP regulations, and batch record instructions.
  • Complies with all Company policies and procedures, including safety rules and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe work environment and operates in a safe manner.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by Management.
