Requirements

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on industrial cranes.
Strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid-state motor control systems.
Competency in working with 480V 3 phase motor control systems.
Working at heights.
Perform preventative maintenance and inspection to assure reliability of the cranes and hoists.
Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers, and management.

Nice To Haves

AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems a plus.

Responsibilities

Participating in safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations.
Being an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.
Following all rules, policies, or expectations.
Coordinating effective repairs and maintenance on facility crane equipment utilizing SAP.
Performing daily and regulatory crane inspections as well as periodic load testing of each crane in the mill.
Completing daily work activities taking into consideration all operational priorities.
Performing work through hands-on assistance to all maintenance staff.
Overall responsible for the training and evaluation of all shift personnel regarding crane use and maintenance.
Being required to be in the on-call rotation.
Performing other duties as assigned by management.
