Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience working on industrial cranes.
  • Strong background in AC and DC electromechanical and solid-state motor control systems.
  • Competency in working with 480V 3 phase motor control systems.
  • Working at heights.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and inspection to assure reliability of the cranes and hoists.
  • Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with supervisors, coworkers, and management.

Nice To Haves

  • AA/AS or the equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Mechanical experience with gear reducers and drive systems a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Participating in safety activities to meet or exceed organizational goals and expectations.
  • Being an active participant in developing and maintaining a culture of professionalism.
  • Following all rules, policies, or expectations.
  • Coordinating effective repairs and maintenance on facility crane equipment utilizing SAP.
  • Performing daily and regulatory crane inspections as well as periodic load testing of each crane in the mill.
  • Completing daily work activities taking into consideration all operational priorities.
  • Performing work through hands-on assistance to all maintenance staff.
  • Overall responsible for the training and evaluation of all shift personnel regarding crane use and maintenance.
  • Being required to be in the on-call rotation.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by management.
