Responsibilities

Cut and thread pipes using pipe cutters, a cutting torch, and a pipe-threading machine.
Bend pipes to required angles using a pipe-bending machine or by hand.
Join pipes using screws, bolts, fittings, solder, plastic solvent, and caulk joints.
Assemble and install valves, pipe fittings, and pipes.
Fill pipe systems with water or air and read pressure gauges to check for leaks.
Read and understand plumbing drawings within the first 90 days of employment.
Use a tape measure for precise measurements and common hand and power tools.
Follow directions, communicate professionally, and work in a team environment.
Operate and understand the operation of protective safety equipment in the area.
