About The Position

The Manufacturing Technician I fulfills customer final assembly requirements by assembling finished units to customer specifications. The role supports production by coordinating tasks with teammates, maintaining parts and materials at workstations, verifying build documentation, and reporting scrap and downtime. The technician maintains an organized work area, participates in team activities, and follows safety and environmental health requirements. Other reasonably related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and math skills at approximately an 8th-grade level.
• Basic PC skills, including keyboarding, mouse usage, Windows usage, and opening and closing programs and files.
• Ability to stand almost 100% of the time.
• Ability to frequently walk, bend, lift, and carry equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision for observing finished products, reading drawings, prints, and visual aids, and extended use of a computer monitor.
• Safety glasses and steel-toed shoes are required in manufacturing, receiving inspection, receiving, stockroom, and shipping areas.

Responsibilities

• Assemble finished units according to customer specifications.
• Coordinate with teammates to organize tasks requiring multiple team members.
• Use manual and automated lifting devices while following product safety specifications.
• Organize and maintain spare parts inventory and order spare parts as needed to fill customer orders.
• Replenish stock or parts at the workstation and audit material kits to ensure correct materials are available.
• Verify that build documentation is correct.
• Report scrap.
• Report downtime and update Manufacturing Metrics as applicable.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area using 5S.
• Participate in team activities and projects, communicate effectively within the team, and attend team meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Work safely and comply with Environmental Health and Safety standards, work practices, and other work rules.
