This role involves assisting in the installation and qualification of systems, troubleshooting day-to-day manufacturing issues, and identifying or implementing system improvements to achieve throughput, yield, and product performance goals. The position requires a safety-first mindset, general electrical/electronic and mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The technician will solve production, equipment, and process problems, identify and implement yield and product performance improvements, and develop methods to determine causes of yield excursions. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining gauges, ensuring processes run according to the Process Control Plan, responding to SPC alarms, executing experiments, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting results. The role also involves collecting data on daily tool and product performance, providing training to production associates, developing and updating internal documentation, and interfacing with internal associates and supplier representatives. A complete understanding of area processes, equipment, and support systems is expected. Effective communication with production associates and manufacturing engineers is crucial. The technician will disposition non-conforming product, adhere to safety procedures and housekeeping standards, and ensure proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials. Other duties as assigned.
