About The Position
Assemble high quality complex products in an expedient manner. This role involves assembling a wide variety of products requiring a high amount of skill, experience, accuracy, and print reading. Responsibilities include assembling components, installing panels, performing detailed wiring, and cabinet layout and wiring based on diagrams, schematics, and wire lists. The technician will operate various power and hand tools. Additionally, the role involves fabricating and modifying printed circuit boards, cable assemblies, wiring harnesses, wire wrap boards, panels, enclosures, and cabinet sub-assemblies. Ensuring assemblies are complete and meet drawing specifications, and accurately completing all required documentation are key aspects of the position. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two plus years of assembly experience
- Ability to follow written assembly procedures, assembly drawings, wire lists and wiring diagrams
- Ability to lift 35 lbs.
- Requires good hand and eye coordination, finger dexterity, mobility
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
- Must be able to distinguish and identify different components/part colors
Responsibilities
- Assemble components used to make sub-assemblies
- Install panels, card racks and sub-assemblies
- Perform detailed wiring
- Cabinet layout and wiring based on diagrams, schematics and wire lists
- Operate power and hand tools including solder irons, crimpers, drivers, wrenches, pliers, cutters, wire wrap guns, etc.
- Fabricate and modify printed circuit boards
- Fabricate and modify cable assemblies
- Fabricate and modify wiring harnesses
- Fabricate and modify wire wrap boards
- Fabricate and modify panels and enclosures
- Fabricate and modify cabinet sub-assemblies
- Fabricate and modify sheet metal assemblies
- Assure assemblies are complete and made to the drawing specifications
- Review, update and accurately complete all required documentation
