Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and other mechanical agricultural equipment and implements.
• Running, maneuvering, navigating, or driving vehicles or mechanized equipment, such as forklifts and tractors.
• Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Keeping up-to-date technically and applying new knowledge to your job.
• Repair machines and equipment using the needed tools.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment and determine what kind of maintenance is needed.
• Determine the causes of operating errors and decide what to do about them.
• Conduct tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
• Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
• Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators making sure in determining what tools and equipment are needed to do a job.
• Pick-up or order the needed parts from the Parts Department.
