The Cleanroom Technician IV provides advanced technical support for cleanroom and laboratory operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and compliance. Working with minimal supervision, this role performs complex cleaning, inspection, packing, and maintenance activities, including chemical processing and final product validation. The position serves as a technical leader within assigned cleaning lines, supports R&D and first-article activities, contributes to process improvements, and upholds rigorous quality and safety systems to support reliable, customer-ready products.

  • Requires very good communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
  • Uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute in development of concepts and techniques, and to complete tasks in creative and effective ways, with little or no supervision.
  • Works on assignments that are extremely complex in nature where independent action and a high degree of initiative are required in resolving problems and developing recommendations.
  • Requires a very substantial understanding of general job duties, as well as the technical aspects of the job.
  • May determine methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other support personnel.
  • Applies job skills and company’s policies and procedures to complete a variety of semi-routine tasks.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instruction on new tasks.
  • Requires aptitude, and a substantial understanding of all cleanroom processes.
  • Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Knowledge/aptitude, and basic understanding of cleanroom packing.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Must wear cleanroom garments and safety personal protective items depending upon work activity.
  • Able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Able to do some repetitive tasks related to wiping, scrubbing and detailing parts.
  • Usually involves handling of hazardous chemicals.

Nice To Haves

  • The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $26.20 and $39.38/hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
  • The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including variable pay and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO (Paid Time Off) and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
  • Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
  • If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

Responsibilities

  • Performs advanced cleaning, packing, and maintenance activities, including extensive chemical cleaning and stripping activities.
  • Delegates and assigns work activities.
  • Signs off on Certificate of Analysis and test data and approves travelers.
  • Responsible for incoming, in-process and final inspection of parts.
  • Able to work independently and perform all processes and activities related to the assigned product line.
  • Participation in Quality Assurance program, safety program and completion of various trainings.
  • Must be able to identify the occurrence of departures from the quality system.
  • May act as a “Lead” technician for the assigned cleaning line(s).
  • Provide assistance to the R&D group for specialized cleaning activities.
  • Assignment to the cleaning of 1st Article products.
  • Safe use and disposition of hazardous chemicals for cleaning.
  • May provide assistance in process improvement activities.
  • On occasion, may deliver parts to customer using company delivery vehicle.
