About The Position

The Field Technician is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at customer sites including but not limited to loading and unloading tools, raw materials, equipment, and supplies. This position takes an active role on crews by participating in both scheduled and emergency projects. At GFL our goal is to invest in our people and provide opportunities to grow for life! Requirements

  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English sufficiently
  • Pass pre-employment criminal background screening and drug screening
  • Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located is required.
  • Successful candidates will be required to provide valid documentation confirming their eligibility to work in the country where the job is located prior to their start date.

Responsibilities

  • Operate various pieces of equipment in the field and at our shop including but not limited to; pressure washers and jetters
  • Support various environmental projects such as: Confined Space Entry, Trailer jetter operation, Power washing, Assist vacuum truck operators with hose, Waterway response, Hazardous materials clean up, Manifesting and labeling of containerized waste
  • Ensure the health and safety of the crew, customer, and site by adhering to safety policies and procedures by identifying, communicating, and mitigating hazards
  • Other duties as assigned
