Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician III - Shop. This role is based in Austin, TX, with occasional needs for field maintenance and repair. Requirements

A minimum of 2 to 3+ years’ experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
You are a self-starter and motivated to be successful.

Nice To Haves

Construction equipment rental background preferred.

Responsibilities

Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
Perform intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
Perform major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains.
Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
