About The Position

The Technician II is responsible for performing intermediate-level technical and mechanical work in support of manufacturing operations. This role includes troubleshooting equipment and process issues, conducting repairs and preventive maintenance, supporting production goals, and ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong problem-solving skills, technical aptitude, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with team members to maintain efficient operations.

Requirements

  • Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools.
  • Able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 45 pounds.
  • Must work in a safe manner, maintain a clean work area, meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures introduced to the job.
  • 6 months experience in commercial vehicle inspection, repair or a related field is required.
  • Must possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be able to analyze and solve production, quality, and engineering issues.
  • Must have strong computer skills and the ability to effectively communicate with others.
  • Must be able to access and understand assembly prints.
  • This job requires working periodically under a chassis and reaching above your head for extended periods of time.
  • Candidate must be willing to work overtime as required.
  • Must be able to work first or second shift.
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work permanently in the country the position is located in at the time of application.
  • Final candidate must successfully complete a criminal background check.
  • Final candidate may be required to successfully complete a pre-employment drug screen.

Responsibilities

  • Completing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems installations with the assistance of documentation.
  • Troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
  • Conducting repairs and preventive maintenance.
  • Supporting production goals.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with quality standards.
  • Cross train and complete other jobs as required.
