Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join their team. Requirements

  • 1 to 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic.
  • Construction equipment or equipment rental background.
  • Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
  • Must have the necessary basic tool set to perform equipment repairs.
  • Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
  • Attention to detail inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment.
  • Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
  • Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
  • Willing and ready to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose malfunctions, and repair equipment.
  • Inspect, service, and test equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications.
  • Maintain industry and Sunstate safety standards while performing equipment repairs.
  • Learn and grow with training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
