Requirements
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or equipment rental background.
- Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
- Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
- Must have the necessary basic tool set to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
- Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Attention to detail inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment.
- Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
- Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards.
- Willing and ready to learn.
Responsibilities
- Performing preventative maintenance on heavy construction equipment.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing malfunctions on heavy construction equipment.
- Repairing heavy construction equipment.
- Inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment to ensure performance to manufacturer specifications.
- Learning new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques.
- Maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards while performing equipment repairs.
