The position's primary responsibilities are customer service field activities, gas distribution, and construction and maintenance activities on systems and facilities, as applicable. Requirements

  • Relevant gas experience required
  • Highschool diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in basic computer knowledge
  • Demonstrate good written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior technical field service, construction, or utility experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Perform reading of residential, commercial, and industrial gas meters
  • Record readings for billing purposes
  • Observe and report all abnormal, dangerous, and damaged conditions about gas meters and adjacent areas
  • Install, maintain, replace, and remove meters and regulators
  • Activate residential and small commercial service accounts
  • Conduct leak surveys
  • Serve as first responder for leaks, CO calls, NGLP, etc.
  • Must perform stand-by duty, work shifts, holidays, weekends, emergency callouts, and occasional extensive hours and is subject to reporting outside of regular work areas
  • Serve as subject matter expert (SME) trainer
  • Service and construction helper
  • Is responsible for the safe operation inspection of assigned company vehicles and equipment
  • Demonstrate support for and adhere to the company’s values, strategies, policies, and procedures and exhibits the core values of Liberty’s mission statement, customer service, safety, and the company’s code of conduct as an individual contributor and team member
  • Performs other job duties as required
