About The Position

The Technician II – Security is a mid-level role responsible for installing, servicing, and commissioning integrated security systems, including CCTV, access control, and intrusion alarms. This position requires 1-2 years of industry experience and includes mentoring junior technicians while supporting site-level project execution.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in the integrated security or electronic systems industry
• Strong knowledge of AC/DC theory and structured cabling (CAT5/6, fiber)
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction documents
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders and at heights

Nice To Haves

• Associate’s degree in a technical field preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, test, and service CCTV, access control, and intrusion systems
• Perform system startup, programming, and commissioning
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning security equipment
• Lead small projects on-site and mentor junior technicians or apprentices
• Complete accurate documentation, including test results and as-built drawings
• Train customers on system operation and basic functionality
