About The Position

The ME Technician II works under limited supervision supporting production based on established business strategies to ensure continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and adherence to company policy. Using their technical skills, the ME Technician is responsible to support production activities such as testing, inspection, and modification of equipment and conducts engineering tests and experiments to analyze technical operations of the machines as it relates to these goals.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent applicable education and work experience is required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment is required
  • Ability to use specialized diagnostic equipment
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to communicate with all levels of personnel
  • Actively participate in a team-oriented environment
  • Manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently

Nice To Haves

  • An Associate’s degree is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Investigates and identifies production processes and efficiency problems; recommending improvements, conducting engineering tests and evaluations to collect data or assist in research work to perform testing and troubleshooting based on production and engineering guidelines, and developing documentation for workmanship standards and assembly drawings
  • Assists Equipment Technicians in qualifying part quality after machine adjustments and addressing machine issues, conducting true cause analysis on a variety of issues, and examining machine performance using historical data to make suggestions for improving product quality and process efficiency
  • Perform minor adjustments as required, working with Engineering to develop new tools that increase productivity
  • Follow company-wide safety programs, 5S initiatives, and ISO procedures
  • Provide consistent, high-quality output to ensure customer satisfaction and create value to exceed customer expectations
  • Regular and reliable attendance is required to accomplish essential functions of the job
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge of industry best practices by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, visiting other manufacturing facilities, and participating in professional societies
