Work related to performing preventative and corrective maintenance of buildings and mechanical equipment at the City's water treatment and water reclamation and biosolids facilities. Support the goals of the Water Production and/or the Water Reclamation and Biosolids Divisions, focused on continual improvement, pollution prevention, and regulatory compliance. Engage and participate as directed in facility management programs. Inspects and monitors equipment for potential problems and safety hazards. Plans, schedules, coordinates and logs maintenance and repairs. Repairs or replaces parts and equipment; designs, fabricates, and installs parts, equipment and/or systems. Operates, maintains, and repairs vehicles, equipment, electric carts, and tools. Performs general building and grounds maintenance including sprinkler maintenance and repairs. Requisitions parts, supplies, and materials. Inspects and monitors equipment, infrastructure, and facilities for potential problems and safety hazards. Performs corrective and preventative maintenance as assigned on equipment, infrastructure, and facilities. Utilizes the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to organize, prioritize, and track work and hours performed. May assist other Division work groups including Operations, Process Control, Technical Services, Water Quality Lab/Pollution Control Laboratory, and Electrical/Instrumentation staff, and other city work groups. May monitor, record, and maintain reservoirs and ditch levels. Required to be part of an On Call rotation and be available days, nights and weekends while on call. May assist with solids residual management program by cleaning and reconditioning ponds and removing sludge.
