About The Position

The primary purpose of the Maintenance Technician II is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. This role involves servicing and repairing complex equipment and complying with applicable regulations and the department’s Safety program.

Requirements

Minimum High School diploma or GED and mechanical apprenticeship and/or vocational school/technology certificate in mechanic.
Five (5) years of mechanical technical hands-on experience.
Ability to read and use schematics, gauges, tools and instruments.
Ability to use appropriate hand, power and specialty tools and diagnostic equipment to complete job tasks.
Must have sound knowledge and experience in Industrial Maintenance environment with repair and troubleshooting machine issues and breakdowns along with general maintenance.
Must have experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
Must have a good working knowledge in hydraulic, pneumatic, pumps, valves, cylinders, conveyors, etc.

Nice To Haves

Forklifts and scissor lift driving experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs troubleshooting and repair on electrical/electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic mechanical systems.
Analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment.
Reads, analyzes and interprets technical procedures, blueprints, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance.
Checks and inspects assigned equipment during preventative maintenance and reports findings to management.
Performs corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
Ensures machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
Completes work orders and updates maintenance tracking system.
Responds quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
Communicates existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
