About The Position

This is a full-time, in-person position located at the Colorado Mental Health Hospital in Pueblo (CMHHIP) campus. The incumbent will support the Equipment Manager with training, distribution of equipment, and assisting CMHHIP staff in troubleshooting various devices such as GPS ankle monitors, telephones, cellphones, pagers, DirectTV, and printers/copiers. The position also supports the Hawkins Building Manager with general duress system maintenance. The Hospital Operations Department provides operational oversight for furniture, fixtures, equipment (FFE), office space utilization, procurement, printing operations, risk management, delivery of mail, packages, supplies, mailroom, and building management of the Robert Hawkins Building. The department's goal is to ensure the division's programs can provide quality services through continuous improvement and collaboration.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of relevant experience or in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position OR A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to two (2) years (e.g., Associates of Science, Business Degree, electronics).
  • Full Background Check (CBI name check and fingerprint check, ICON Colorado court database, Medicare fraud database, Reference Checks, Professional License verification, Drug Screen, PREA, Trails check, CAPS).
  • Valid, unrestricted US Driver's License.
  • State of Colorado residency at the time of application and throughout employment.
  • Out-of-State Driver’s License holders must obtain a valid, non-restricted Colorado Driver’s License within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Former State employees who were disciplinarily terminated or resigned in lieu of termination must disclose that information on the application and explain why it should not disqualify them.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of telecommunications and IT assets, including cell phones, landline phones, and pagers.
  • Coordinate staff training sessions and oversee the distribution of technical equipment.
  • Provide direct technical support to CMHHIP staff by troubleshooting issues with landline telephones, cellular phones, and pagers.
  • Maintain an accurate database for all communication devices.
  • Monitor pager status and facilitate necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Ensure the inventory of all related equipment remains adequate.
  • Manage the lifecycle of essential IT and communications equipment, including computers and printers.
  • Provide technical support to CMHHIP staff for troubleshooting computers, printers, and copiers.
  • Facilitate the repair or replacement of malfunctioning IT equipment.
  • Maintain the database on leased computers.
  • Ensure the inventory of computers remains adequate.
  • Assist with the management of television and audio/visual equipment.
  • Coordinate the distribution of television and audio/visual equipment across various hospital units.
  • Provide technical support to CMHHIP staff for troubleshooting DirectTV cable, television, and other audio-visual issues.
  • Ensure all units remain adequately equipped with necessary television and audio-visual resources.
  • Assist with the management of the GPS tracking system.
  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for GPS ankle monitors.
  • Conduct necessary training for staff on the proper use of the GPS tracking system.
  • Assist with the management of the personal duress alarm system.
  • Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting for the personal duress alarm system.
  • Assist with routine purchasing and procurement support for the department.
  • Make purchases for necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Track order status and coordinate with vendors regarding delivery schedules and invoicing processes.
  • Perform any other duties that may arise to ensure necessary tasks are completed.
