About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is seeking a Technician II - 2nd Shift to join their EMC Testing Electrical team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role offers a career in Electrical Product compliance testing. Intertek's Electrical business line utilizes over 100 years of product testing expertise to help clients meet safety, performance, environmental, and quality requirements across various industries. They are a Total Quality Assurance Provider, aiming to bring quality, safety, and sustainability to life.

Requirements

  • Ability to work Full Time, 2nd Shift, Monday-Friday 4:00pm until 1:00am
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 2+ years of electrical technician experience

  • Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at work
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlines
  • Ability to use basic shop equipment and various hand tools
  • Ability to review, understand, and convey technical information in an effective manner
  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions
  • Must be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time management
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formats
  • Must be customer focused and quality driven
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 35lbs.
  • Ability to sit and stand prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to travel, up to 5%

Nice To Haves

  • Trade school certification or associate’s degree in technical field
  • 5+ years of relatable experience

Responsibilities

  • Set up test apparatus and operate equipment.
  • Daily cleanup and maintenance of projects, work equipment, work site, vehicles and organize all tools and materials.
  • Obtain and record test data in accordance with standards.
  • Perform basic analysis of test data and routine calculations.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner including appearance and attitude.
  • Diligent safety practices, knowledge of OSHA standards, and use of safety equipment as required by management.
  • Work closely with lead/ crew members and take direction to complete projects within certain policies and procedures.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety.
  • Perform other work as required.
