About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Technician II - Breaker Mod. This role will shift to G2 when breaker modifications are required at that location. The rate for this position is $20.00 per hour. The core hours are Monday through Thursday from 6:00 am until 4:00 pm. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Skilled in the safe use and knowledge of hand and pneumatic (air) tools.
  • 1 year of industrial manufacturing experience
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future.
  • Proficient in using standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Outlook, Teams) as well as job-specific systems such as ENOVIA.
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication abilities, along with persuasive and analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Collaborates effectively with individuals and teams, contributing to a productive team environment.
  • Safely operates hand and power tools, step ladders, and cranes to assemble products and ensure quality within a Lean manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • South Carolina Manufacturing Certification (SCMC) or equivalent credential.
  • Maintains flexibility to work varied hours and overtime as required to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, wire, and modify work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these.
  • Work to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures.
  • Fill out ISO checklists, quality checklists, customer checklists, feedback forms, and production lists for supervision, drafting, customer service, and engineering as required.
  • Mount and install electrical equipment and perform wire operations as needed.
  • Regularly lift and assemble with heavy copper parts.
  • Report shortages to appropriate operators of Kanban inventory.
  • Inspect all assemblies for loose or missing hardware and cleanliness.
  • Respond to change notices, customer requested adjustments, and development needs.
  • Assist engineering, drafting, and supervision with customer-initiated development work.
  • Able to effectively train and coach colleagues to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
