About The Position

WR Government Business Solutions is seeking a Technician to support field setup and installation of Mobile Over-The-Horizon Radar systems. This role will involve hands-on work including ground screen layout and brazing, radial wire placement, monopole antenna assembly, and securing systems using guy wires. The position will also support testing activities using various equipment to measure coaxial cable performance and RF signals. The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of employment history, education and/or certifications, criminal history, driving records, and other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Zero (0) + years of experience performing work in support of production, integration, installation, repair, troubleshooting, or maintenance of electronic systems or equipment.
Ability and aptitude to use hand tools and basic test equipment
Ability to learn and interpret test equipment readouts with training and oversight
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
Ability to work in a field environment and travel as required
Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance

Responsibilities

Under close supervision, set up standard test apparatus or assist in developing test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and live testing
Support evaluation of prototype and production model performance and reliability
Perform mechanical assembly, installation, and integration of equipment
Assist with field setup, installation, and basic troubleshooting of radar systems
Utilize test equipment to collect and interpret basic RF and cable measurement data
