About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Technician I sets up and operates environmental equipment under proper work permits across multiple service lines in a safe and efficient manner on client’s job site. The Technician I will also perform other activities and tasks as needed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Industry experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Ability to understand basic math skills.

  • Ability to interact professionally and competently with widely variable internal customers and regulatory agency personnel.
  • Must be responsive to calls and emails during normal work hours and when on-call.
  • Must work with a sense of urgency and have excellent follow-up skills.

  • Excellent language and communication skills to interact effectively with all levels of customer and company management and speak effectively before customers, employees, and organizations.
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, programs; Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Proficient in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be able to pass all site specific facility, company and industry tests.
  • Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

  • Current valid driver license from state of residency and valid proof of insurance.
  • Must be insurable by the Envent Corporation insurance provider.
  • Must have a valid TWIC card or, at minimum, be eligible to get a TWIC card, HASC, RSO or comparable refinery area training card.
  • Must be able to pass the company’s employee physical and comply with the company’s drug testing policy.

Responsibilities

  • Drive to customer sites, set up and operate environmental equipment under proper work permits.
  • Take environmental readings frequently with the use of multiple types of environmental monitoring meters.
  • Ensure environmental meters are calibrated and bump tested in accordance with established procedures.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on various equipment, as well as improve aesthetics on vehicles and equipment on the field and at the shop.
  • Perform valve manipulation as well as moving of hoses, fittings, and various other items.
  • Report to the assigned Supervisor and provide status report.
  • Actively participate in all hands meetings, JSS SCAN procedures, and all safety communications by asking/answering questions and providing lessons learned and experiences.
  • Operate and drive all vehicles within the scope of licensing, within Envent Fleet and logging appropriately in the Electronic Logging Device (Samsara).
  • Carry out all assigned daily work.
  • Complete all required timesheets, log sheets and customer work permits as required by the task at hand timely and accurately.
  • Review and understand the selection of proper equipment for the task at hand.
  • Know where to find and how to follow all operating procedures.
  • Know where to find and how to follow all environmental permits and regulations.
  • Maintain jobsite and yard housekeeping in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Unload project equipment in appropriate designated shop area.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Utilize latest approved procedures for all operations.
  • Learn the regulatory requirements impacting both Envent and Envent’s customer.
  • Become knowledgeable in all company equipment and the uses for each.
  • Follow up with the assigned Supervisor and ensure you are doing the job correctly.
  • Report all safety infractions or near misses, using the Stop Work Authority if you feel unsafe. Stop work on yourself as necessary if not sure with the task you are assigned.
  • Report all accidents, incidents (no matter how minor), and citations immediately to the assigned supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively to assigned Supervisor, dispatcher and/or safety representative.
  • Be responsive at all times to assigned supervisor and dispatcher. This may require answering the telephone during off hours, weekends and holidays.
  • Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, company policies, customer policies and an unwavering commitment to safety.
  • Work toward successful completion of Short Service Employee program.
  • Learn how to use the electronic platforms required to operate and log data.
  • Complete Training Certifications on designated equipment within assigned timeframe.
