Technician I, 1st shift, Site 2

AST SpaceMobile•Midland, TX

About The Position

AST SpaceMobile is seeking a Production Technician I (MLI Fabrication) to support the fabrication, assembly, and installation of Multi-Layer Insulation (MLI) systems used on spacecraft and satellite hardware. The role is suited to candidates with hands-on experience in aviation maintenance, fabrication, aerospace manufacturing, composites, textiles, or related production environments. Direct MLI experience is not required; core fabrication tasks can be learned through on-the-job training. Candidates should have strong manual dexterity and attention to detail, and be able to follow work instructions, engineering drawings, and quality standards. The position involves working in manufacturing and cleanroom environments, following applicable cleanroom, contamination-control, and ESD procedures, and using hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment. Technicians maintain production records, inspect workmanship, identify quality concerns, and support process improvements. The company notes that the listed duties may not include every responsibility and that tasks or scope may change with business needs. AST SpaceMobile is an equal opportunity, at-will employer.
