About The Position

The Technician I is in training to provide technical and non-technical services in laboratory service areas. Duties include handling data, processing specimens, performing select laboratory testing, communicating internally and externally, documenting work, performing and documenting quality control and equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies, and resolving minor problems. The position is in the Microbial Immunology 2 department. Some college-level coursework in biology or a related life science is preferred.

The role requires accurate sample identification, test performance, and reporting of results. It is based in a biohazard laboratory environment and requires personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company and departmental policies.
