About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a Technician I - Electrical based at its North Houston, Texas service center. The technician maintains, troubleshoots, diagnoses, and repairs electrical distribution equipment to support customers. Work is performed at the service center and, when needed, at customer sites. The role may require independent work or collaboration with other technicians, overtime, weekend work, travel, and standby availability outside regularly scheduled shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of hands-on experience testing, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing PLCs, switchgear, and electrical distribution equipment.
Ability to calculate nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card based on customer requirements.
Ability to meet the job’s physical demands, including lifting up to 60 lbs, pushing or pulling up to 80 lbs, carrying up to 60 lbs, climbing stairs and ladders, and performing other physical tasks.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; walk over uneven terrain; move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion; and safely manipulate tools and small items.
Ability to pass the post-offer physical abilities assessment.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on electrical distribution equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer sites, diagnose issues, and complete repairs.
Set up and operate equipment independently or alongside fellow technicians.
Travel to work locations and support customer operations as needed.
Work overtime and weekends as required and be available for standby work outside regularly scheduled shifts.
