About The Position

HomeSmiles Northern Kentucky is hiring Technician Trainees for a hands-on, outdoor job where you’ll learn valuable skills in property maintenance, exterior cleaning, and preventative home care. This is an entry-level technician role, providing paid training, all necessary tools, and a direct 12-month path to a leadership role. The role involves prepping and cleaning the service van, using a mobile tablet for scheduling, confirming service details with clients, identifying and troubleshooting equipment issues, and tracking tool inventory. This is a non-construction, non-repair role, meaning it does not involve plumbing, electrical, roofing, or general contractor services.

Requirements

Comfortable working on ladders, roofs, and in outdoor conditions
Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn power tools, water-fed poles, squeegee systems, and rotary dryer vent tools
Coachable with a strong attention to safety and quality

Responsibilities

Prepping and cleaning the HomeSmiles service van, restocking tools and equipment
Using a mobile tablet to check the route and scheduled appointments
Meeting with homeowners or property managers to confirm service details
Identifying equipment issues and troubleshooting hoses, pumps, ladders, and sprayers
Tracking and maintaining tool inventory and alerting the team lead when replacements are needed
Learning to clean gutters, wash windows, power wash surfaces, and complete all property maintenance services
