About The Position

We are seeking a motivated Maintenance Technician/Handyman to join our growing team in Residential Property Management. We manage over 1,500 homes and small multi-unit properties around Chicagoland and are known for being fast, responsive, and committed to fixing things right the first time. This role offers stability and opportunities for growth within a company that values improvement and high performance. You will start your day from home, receiving your schedule the night before, and handle 3-5 jobs daily at various residential properties.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of residential maintenance experience
• Solid hands-on skills across multiple trades
• Own tools, a reliable vehicle, and a valid driver's license
• Comfort with mobile technology
• Ability to manage time effectively
• Ability to handle unexpected issues
• Ability to finish tasks strong
• A problem-solving mindset with a "no excuses" attitude

Nice To Haves

• Trade certifications (plumbing, HVAC, electrical)

Responsibilities

• Handle 3-5 jobs a day at a mix of homes, apartments, and townhomes
• Perform plumbing tasks (drips, clogs, swaps)
• Conduct HVAC maintenance (filters, simple fixes, thermostats)
• Address electrical issues (light switches, outlets, fixtures)
• Complete drywall repairs (patching, sanding, painting)
• Perform general repairs and make-readies
• Upload notes and photos from each job using a company-provided phone
• Communicate throughout the day with dispatch and teammates
• Identify and report any issues observed in the field
