About The Position

The Technician, Facility Services, Power Washing, operates and maintains pressure washing equipment to clean various facility surfaces, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This role involves evaluating cleaning requirements, performing preventative maintenance on machinery, and managing equipment inventory. The technician collaborates with facility teams to address service requests, supports seasonal exterior maintenance, and operates corporate vehicles safely. By adhering to company policies and safety procedures, this position contributes to maintaining clean, safe, and efficient facility environments while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence. The Exterior Services team ensures Walmart properties remain safe, clean, and well-maintained through expert landscaping, pressure washing, parking lot care, and exterior upkeep. Team members operate specialized equipment and take ownership of their locations to deliver consistent, high-quality results. Emphasizing safety, efficiency, and quality, the team supports operational excellence and fosters a positive environment for all facility users and staff. Their dedicated efforts contribute directly to the functionality and appearance of Walmart facilities, enhancing the experience for members, associates, and communities alike.

Requirements

  • Proven experience operating and maintaining pressure washing equipment and related machinery.
  • Ability to evaluate surfaces and determine appropriate cleaning methods and pressure settings.
  • Strong knowledge of safety procedures when working with high-pressure equipment and heavy machinery.
  • Skilled in performing preventative maintenance and basic repairs on power washing and facility equipment.
  • Competence in operating corporate vehicles safely and conducting required inspections.
  • Effective communication skills to coordinate with facility users and team members.
  • Ability to manage work orders, maintain logs, and document tasks accurately.
  • Commitment to upholding company policies, ethical standards, and quality requirements.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Ability to successfully complete a DOT physical and secure medical certification during pre-hire contingency and maintain a minimum of a 90-day Medical Examiner's Certification (MEC) card.
  • No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol or drugs within the last three (3) years.
  • No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years, if driving a commercial motor vehicle.
  • No serious traffic violations (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
  • No preventable accidents (as defined by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations) in the last three (3) years, if operating a commercial motor vehicle.
  • As required by Section 391.11(b)(2) of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, ability to read and speak in the English language.
  • Ability to work alternative shifts, including overnight or weekends.
  • Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report.
  • Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
  • Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in power washing/exterior maintenance.
  • Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Proficient in speaking and understanding Spanish.
  • State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).
