About The Position

The (USA) Technician, Facility Services, HVAC-Refrigeration, is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial and industrial settings. This role involves interpreting technical schematics, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The Technician performs preventive maintenance, manages refrigerant handling, and leads field teams while supporting operational efficiency. Effective communication with customers and collaboration with management are essential. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to respond promptly to service needs, contributing to the reliable operation of facility systems across multiple locations. Our team ensures efficient facility operations by providing expert HVAC and refrigeration services. Members collaborate to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment while following industry standards and safety protocols. Requirements

• Proven experience installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC and refrigeration systems in commercial or industrial settings.
• Strong ability to interpret layout plans, schematics, and building codes to ensure accurate system configuration.
• Skilled in diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols.
• Experience operating heavy machinery and company vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Ability to lead and mentor team members while effectively communicating technical information to customers.
• Proficient in coordinating service calls and managing workload using digital tools and scheduling systems.
• Vocational or technical HVAC/R certification and 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• 4 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance or construction-related field for commercial HVAC/R and building controls or related field.
• Hold and maintains Type I and Type II or Universal Environmental Protection Agency certification for refrigerant handling.
• Where required, HVAC-R/ Mechanical Journeyman.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass motor vehicle report.
• Commercial driving record with no convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI within the last five (5) years.
• Commercial driving record with no more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of a 2-year Vocational or Technical HVAC/R program
• Experience using word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Mechanical license in city and/or state where job is located
• Prior work experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Prior work experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and calibrate HVAC and refrigeration systems, including ductwork and control panels, ensuring compliance with building codes and operational standards.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and refrigerant-related issues in commercial and industrial equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections to optimize system performance and extend equipment life.
• Adhere to OSHA and EPA 608 refrigerant handling protocols during all service activities.
• Lead and mentor field teams on technical procedures and safety practices.
• Manage service calls, documentation, and coordinate with external providers as needed.
• Operate company vehicles safely to complete service assignments within assigned regions.
