About The Position

The Technician, Facility Services, Exterior Services, is responsible for managing and executing exterior maintenance projects to ensure safe, functional, and visually appealing facility environments. This role involves coordinating work assignments, overseeing material procurement, and maintaining compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The position requires technical expertise in landscaping, equipment operation, and seasonal maintenance activities. The Technician supports cost control measures, quality assurance inspections, and collaborates with internal teams and third-party providers to deliver efficient and sustainable facility services aligned with company standards and operational goals. The Exterior Services team is dedicated to maintaining safe, and sustainable facility environments. Requirements

  • Proven experience in landscaping, including mowing, trimming, planting, gardening, and tree pruning.
  • Ability to operate and maintain powered equipment and heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Skilled in managing projects, prioritizing work assignments, and coordinating resources effectively.
  • Competence in troubleshooting, quality assurance inspections, and resolving facility-related issues.
  • Experience in vehicle maintenance and operation, including safety checks and documentation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to support team and customer interactions.
  • 2 years' experience in the landscaping/gardening industry.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Maintenance, Construction Management, or related area.
  • Experience in third-party management.
  • Experience using intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (for example, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • State/local licensing where required (for example, Florida, Texas, California).

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain exterior facility equipment, including snow removal and landscaping machinery, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Plan, prioritize, and execute scheduled maintenance and landscaping projects, including mowing, trimming, planting, and tree pruning.
  • Manage material requisitions, approve purchases, and verify receipt of parts and supplies to support facility operations.
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections and troubleshoot issues to maintain facility standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with third-party providers, lead performance evaluations, and ensure adherence to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment in safe, functional condition, performing basic maintenance and scheduling repairs as needed.
