About The Position

The Technician Electrical is responsible for reconditioning and repairing aggregate equipment and components. This role involves performing diagnostic inspections, operating heavy machinery like overhead cranes and forklifts, and ensuring efficient, safe, and high-quality work. The position requires maintaining good working records, caring for shop tools and equipment, and fostering positive customer and employee relations. The technician will also follow a directed training program and ensure all parts and manuals are properly managed upon completion of repairs.

Requirements

  • Ability to precisely and accurately collect and record measurements
  • Display attention to detail
  • Ability to use and read calipers and micrometers
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivation to continually improve
  • High school diploma, GED, or equal years of experience
  • Hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical background preferred
  • Ability to travel
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment physical
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the effective repair of machinery and components at high levels of quality in field/shop repair
  • Maintain good working records for time, parts, and supplies
  • Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Lubricates and cleans parts
  • Operate overhead crane to relocate parts of equipment
  • Communicate with others professionally consistent with Mellott Company Values
  • Follow directed training program
  • Maintain excellent customer and employee relations
  • Recondition and repair equipment and components
  • Plan methods and perform sequence of repairs assigned
  • Ensure all parts and manuals when complete are returned to proper locations
  • Perform diagnostic inspections as directed
  • Maintain an overall safe work environment
  • Keep work area clean
  • Drive company vehicles wen needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
