The opportunity Reporting to Senior Manager – HPC Operations, you will be part of Field Team responsible for providing on-site technical support in Data Centers hosting Core42 Server and Network equipment. This is an onsite position in New York, Buffalo.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Hands-on experience in server, network, and storage hardware installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with structured cabling, data center standards, and best practices for infrastructure deployment.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and workflows.
  • Capability to work in a physically demanding environment, including the ability to lift and move equipment as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external contractors.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision, while adhering to defined processes and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Execute network connection tasks based on the design and plan provided by the network engineer.
  • Rack, stack, and cable servers, storage devices, and networking equipment in the data center, ensuring proper installation and alignment with infrastructure requirements.
  • Replace faulty equipment and maintain detailed documentation of all replacement activities for accurate tracking.
  • Conduct routine data center inspections to assess hardware, power, cooling, and cabling systems, identifying and addressing potential issues proactively.
  • Supervise on-site contractors to ensure tasks are completed according to specified standards, timelines, and requirements.
  • Collect and document system specifications, maintaining comprehensive records to support troubleshooting and system maintenance activities.
  • Assist with inventory management by tracking, labeling, and organizing hardware components, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient asset management.
  • Adhere to established safety and security protocols while performing all tasks within the data center, ensuring a secure and compliant working environment.
