About The Position

This role involves contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, utilizing strong communication and interpersonal skills. The technician will work with hand and power tools, apply knowledge of Lean principles and data-driven approaches, and be proficient in MS Office. Experience in assembly manufacturing is required, along with mechanical aptitude and the ability to build structures using materials like Creform, SUS, and 80/20. Skills in using measuring tapes, reading blueprints, and interpreting various instructions are essential. The position requires problem-solving abilities, a strong team-player mentality, a results-oriented approach, dedication to excellence, and a sense of urgency to meet business objectives. The role also involves generating and implementing kaizen ideas, leading a team of technicians in an innovation studio, developing work standard instructions, and managing material inventory and order fulfillment. Activities include walking, interdepartmental coordination, negotiation, and implementing kaizen ideas on the manufacturing floor, as well as supporting Karakuri projects.

Requirements

Effective verbal and written communication skills

Comfortable with Hand and power tools

Knowledge of MS Office – Outlook, Power point and Excel
Experience in an assembly manufacturing operation
Mechanically inclined
Able to build Creform, SUS, 80/20 etc. structures.
Use of measuring tape and blueprint reading
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Problem solving techniques.
Strong team player, results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve business objectives.
