About The Position

CobbFendley is seeking an experienced Broadband Technician in our Albuquerque office. Requirements

  • Experienced Broadband Technician
  • Ability to distinguish types of cabling and equipment on utility poles.
  • Ability to verify utility measurements on existing utility poles to prepare pole attachment applications for submittal to governing utilities.
  • Proficiency in deciphering and inputting pole data utilizing company software programs (SpidaCalc, OCalc).
  • Ability to assist with calculations and use client specifications to create Pole Loading Analysis reports.
  • Ability to design an aerial path from point A to point B based on engineering best practices.
  • Ability to review utility poles and field notes to determine most accurate make ready solution.
  • Ability to research and document requirements on aerial construction by pole owner or customer for whom the work is being performed.
  • Ability to document, locate and identify telephone poles, attachments, and building utility entrances/exits.
  • Ability to record and document field data in accordance with CAD standard formats.
  • Proficiency in annotating and calibrating pole photos in company software programs (Katapult).
  • Ability to identify and measure duct banks and riser conduits.
  • Ability to operate and maintain company equipment and vehicles.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment and deliver accurate work product that is error free.
  • Adherence to CobbFendley’s safety standards.
  • Ability to travel to CobbFendley offices, client office, and project locations as needed.
  • Self-motivated to work in a dynamic environment with strict deadlines.
  • Commitment to performing tasks and carrying out responsibilities consistent with industry standards.
  • Ability to develop relationships with clients, partners, and local organizations.
  • Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

  • Must pass a drug screening, physical exam (if applicable), and various background verifications (including but not limited to 10-year history of the county, state, federal, and a 5-year history of motor vehicle records).
  • Must be eligible to work in the US and will not require sponsorship for work visas.

  • Experience with SpidaCalc, OCalc, and Katapult software.

Responsibilities
