About The Position

VCA Mueller Pet Medical Center is a well-established, AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor, 24-hour emergency & general practice in Sacramento, California. We are seeking a highly motivated full-time energetic Technician Assistant to join our team! The Technician Assistant is responsible for the up keep of the facility and for assisting the team with basic patient care. In this position you will be supporting the team by creating a clean, positive, low-stress atmosphere. The position is responsible for surgical instrument sterilization, operating room cleaning and preparation, assisting with surgical preparation of the patient, the cleanliness of the hospital and animal kennels, basic nursing care, general hospital maintenance, stocking medical and surgical supplies, sanitizing, laundry, and various other tasks that assist the team to uphold the high standards of patient care.

Requirements

• Ability to work in a highly collaborative fast paced environment while showing compassion to the animals in our care
• A strong work ethic with the ability to independently perform daily duties on a consistent basis and to take initiative to keep our facility clean
• Can work a flexible schedule including weekends and evenings
• A positive and professional attitude with a friendly demeanor towards animals and people
• Working efficiently while remaining calm in stressful situations
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are required
• Ability to be self-directed in their daily tasks
