About The Position

The Technician Assistant supports HSN, helping to maintain equipment and facilities to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This role is an onsite position at the HSN facility in Piney Flats, TN, with a 12-hour rotating night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Responsibilities include assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of machinery, equipment, and facility structures, performing routine tasks such as lubricating machine parts, replacing belts, clearing debris, and supporting basic electrical and plumbing work under management. The role also involves operating various hand and power tools, supporting building upkeep (e.g., patching walls, painting, assembling furnishings, clearing drains), and recording maintenance activities. The Technician Assistant is expected to support maintenance leadership with assigned projects, maintain a safe work environment by following procedures, and contribute to continuous improvement by learning new skills.

Responsibilities

Help with the maintenance, and cleaning of machinery, equipment, and facility structures to support safe and efficient operations.
Perform routine tasks such as lubricating machine parts, replacing belts, clearing debris, and supporting basic electrical and plumbing work under management.
Operate hand tools, power tools, and equipment—including drills, saws, pneumatic tools, and welding machines—to complete maintenance tasks.
Support building upkeep by patching walls, painting surfaces, assembling furnishings, and clearing drains.
Record maintenance activities and enter data into the appropriate systems.
Support maintenance leadership with assigned projects and tasks.
Maintain a safe work environment by following established procedures and reporting issues promptly.
Contribute to continuous improvement by learning new skills and adapting to changing operational needs.
