Reporting to the Senior Lead, Aquatic Sciences, the Environmental Technician is responsible for supporting aquatic effects monitoring and scientific investigative field programs, including water quality, benthic invertebrate, and fish sampling. This role involves working with our mining operations, consulting teams running field programs, and other groups in the broader EVR team. This role also offers a combination of field and office work, allowing diversity in your everyday tasks. You will also be responsible for supporting data management initiatives, including quality assurance and control, liaison with analytical laboratories, and compliance reporting. To be successful, we require someone who is highly organized and who thrives in a fast-paced team environment. They must have strong analytical and decision-making abilities, with a capacity for practical problem solving. Most importantly we require someone who has strong communication skills, who can communicate effectively with environment teams at operations, with contractors, and with consulting teams to complete work efficiently and safely.
