About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice for its Tucson, Arizona service center. The apprentice performs all-purpose duties that may include repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques. They are responsible for learning the program’s training material and hands-on skills and follow a mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and check work for quality and accuracy.

No prior experience is required. The program provides paid training and is intended to prepare apprentices for a career as a body technician. After completing the program, the posting describes an earning potential of $70,000 or more per year.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 lbs.
• Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience and/or Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform all-purpose duties, including repairing damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved repair techniques.

• Check work for quality and accuracy.
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
