About The Position

Caliber Collision is hiring a Technician Apprentice Program (TAP) – Body Apprentice to learn and perform vehicle body repair duties. The apprentice may repair damaged vehicles to pre-accident condition using industry-approved techniques and is responsible for learning the program’s training materials and hands-on skills. Under a mentor’s direction, the apprentice will learn to read estimates, identify damage, repair vehicles, and inspect completed work for quality and accuracy. No prior experience is required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under Caliber’s insurance policy.
• Be able to perform consistent physical activity, including reaching below and above shoulder level, kneeling, bending, squatting, and lifting objects over 50 pounds.
• Be able to understand written and verbal instructions.
• Be able to prioritize competing tasks and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Complete required training and certifications relating to TAP.
• Be eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions.

Nice To Haves

• Previous collision experience.
• Collision Vo-Tech certification.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform vehicle repairs using industry-approved techniques to restore vehicles to pre-accident condition.
• Complete all required training and develop the hands-on skills needed for the role.
• Follow the mentor’s direction while learning to read estimates, identify damage, and repair vehicles.
• Check work for quality and accuracy.
