About The Position

Briggs Industrial Solutions is seeking a skilled technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain forklifts and material handling equipment in the shop and at customer locations. The role supports customers by keeping their equipment safe and operational, preventing downtime, and providing dependable service. The technician is expected to work safely, maintain accurate service records and organized tools and parts, and contribute to a supportive, accountable team. Customer-site travel and participation in an on-call schedule are required as needed.

Requirements

At least 3 years of forklift repair or related equipment experience.
Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to diagnose and solve technical problems.
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license.
Certification on at least 65% of the Briggs Equipment product line.
Experience using precision measuring tools.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Own tools.
Strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and a safety-first mindset.
Ability to travel to customer sites, work in a shop environment, and participate in an on-call schedule as needed.

Nice To Haves

Trade school training.
Hyster-Yale technician certifications.
Welding or fabrication experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild forklifts and material handling equipment, including engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and lifting components.
Perform preventive maintenance, equipment inspections, major component repairs, and basic welding.
Provide service at customer locations or in the shop.
Maintain accurate service records, organized parts and tools, and a clean, safe company vehicle.
Follow company safety standards and OSHA and DOT requirements.
Complete ongoing technical training and support a team culture focused on safety, accountability, and mutual support.
