About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a Technician 1 – Power, HVAC, or Temperature Control based at its Mobile, Alabama service center. The role involves maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, setting up, and operating power generation, HVAC, temperature control, electrical distribution, and compressed-air equipment at the service center and customer locations. Work may be performed independently or with other technicians. The position may involve travel, overtime, weekend work, and standby availability outside regularly scheduled shifts.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 3 years of experience working on power generators, HVAC, or temperature control equipment, including inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
Experience calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements and reading and understanding schematics.
Valid driver’s license.
Depending on customer requirements, ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
Ability to safely meet the role’s physical demands and pass a post-offer physical abilities assessment.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods; traverse uneven terrain with functional balance; and move the extremities and spine through a functional range of motion from ground level to overhead.
Good finger dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and sufficient grip strength to safely handle tools and hold stair railings or ladders.
Ability to lift 60 pounds, push or pull 80 pounds, carry 60 pounds, climb stairs and ladders, climb while carrying 15-pound objects, and stoop, kneel, and squat.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and customer locations and complete repairs.
Set up and operate equipment at the shop and customer sites, independently or with other technicians.
Travel to work locations when needed and be available for standby work outside regularly scheduled shifts.
