About The Position

Aggreko is hiring a Technician 1 Power based in Reno, Nevada, supporting natural gas solutions at the Peru Ridge Data Center customer site. The role involves working independently and as part of a team in shops and at customer sites to service, repair, commission, and operate Aggreko products. The technician performs preventive maintenance and moderate repairs, troubleshoots equipment failures, completes required paperwork and computer-system entries, leads moderate job-site setups, and mentors lower-level technicians. The role also requires maintaining and promoting safe working conditions in line with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations. Success is measured by equipment readiness, downtime duration, turnaround speed, technical progression, project leadership, and safety performance. The position pays $34.00 to $40.00 per hour. The regular work environment is generally a shop or customer site, with occasional office exposure. The role may require work outside regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Aggreko expects employees to follow its Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and complete assigned QHSE training.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Technical aptitude or knowledge in generators, industrial HVAC equipment, air compressors, electrical distribution, power generation, load banks, and/or BESS products.
Familiarity with hand tools, automotive lubrication and oil changes, troubleshooting, and testing.
Ability to perform physical work and resolve technical problems, and willingness to work hands-on and interact with internal and external customers.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to obtain and maintain certifications required to operate equipment under applicable federal, state, and local ordinances.
Ability to work after regular business hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, if asked or required.
Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including frequent sitting and standing, repetitive tasks, and bending, reaching, carrying, or lifting objects typically under 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance and moderate repairs on power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
Troubleshoot extensive equipment failures in the shop or at customer locations and test and complete repairs independently or with other technicians.
Complete required paperwork promptly and accurately, including data entry and use of relevant computer systems and software as directed.
Lead moderate job-site setups and mentor lower-level technicians.
Maintain knowledge of, practice, and promote safe working conditions in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations for safe equipment operation.
Comply with Aggreko QHSE policies, procedures, objectives, applicable local laws, and complete relevant assigned QHSE training.
