Technical Writers use project management and communication skills to create, update, and publish a variety of technical documentation used across the organization in order to help ensure policies, procedures, and best practices are understood and followed. This role involves developing, writing, and revising technical specification materials such as policies, procedures, forms, quick-reference guides, webpages, and articles. The Technical Writer will manage materials produced, providing regular updates to stakeholders on their status and developing and maintaining a tracking system. Collaboration with key departments is essential to ensure messaging accuracy with Bank and industry rules, regulations, and trends. The role also focuses on driving continuous process improvements, evaluating and suggesting enhancements for efficiency, and acting as a resource for others' documents to maintain consistency and accuracy. The position requires demonstrating compliance with all bank regulations, keeping up-to-date on regulation changes, and maintaining a working knowledge of relevant Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security, and other applicable regulations. There may be opportunities to coach, mentor, or train others as a subject matter expert. The role also involves actively learning and fostering the Columbia corporate culture, taking personal initiative, and serving as a positive example. Other responsibilities may be assigned, including performing other duties as assigned.
