About The Position

Responsible for creating and updating documentation, explaining detailed information in a clear and concise manner, and working with engineering, production, and technical staff to ensure accuracy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of Adobe InDesign.
  • Proficient use of a digital camera for capturing information and operations, applying minor edits with photo editing software, and importing documents.
  • Ability to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a professional manner.
  • Ability to efficiently work with all levels of staff.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and strong organization.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in assembly manufacturing/operations helpful but not required.
  • Previous experience working with CMS a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Observe and record current procedures for various assembly operations.
  • Take photos of component parts and work activities.
  • Seek out necessary engineering or quality assurance drawings that assist in showing proper assembly procedure.
  • Collaborate with all levels of staff to acquire and verify necessary information for proper documentation.
  • Apply gathered information to plan, develop, organize, write, and edit electronic and hard copy operational procedures, work instructions, and manuals.
  • Analyze documents and adhere to in-house style guide to maintain continuity of style of content.
  • Compile final draft for manufacturing management review and approval.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Wear and maintain any required personal protective equipment.
